2022 University Orientation - Freshman Activities
(1) 活動概述 (Activity Overview)
2022大學入門於9/4-9/8辦理，年度主題為「擴增未來 Augmented Future」，以元宇宙之現實與虛擬世界整合，強調未來學習的快速與多元。期許新生在東海展開新的學習階段，持續擴增生命的視野；並以博雅學習、數位學習及跨域學習的三項核心貫穿各項活動，融入本校辦學精神及核心價值。
The 2022 University Orientation took place from September 4th to 8th. The theme, "Augmented Future," emphasized the fusion of the real and virtual realms in the metaverse, underscoring the rapid and diverse nature of forthcoming learning experiences. We aspire for new Tunghai University students to begin a fresh learning voyage, broadening their life perspectives. The fundamental tenets of Liberal Arts, Digital Learning, and Interdisciplinary Fields were integrated into the events, aligning with the school's educational philosophy and core values.

Emcees (Hsiang-Yu Chuang from the Department of Sociology and Cheng-Hao Yang from the Department of Computer Science) showcased the use of AR filters to demonstrate technology.
利用AR技術呈現虛擬【畢律斯鐘樓】於開幕式
AR technology was used to present the virtual "Bell Tower of Priest" during the opening ceremony.
張國恩校長偕同95級李庚羲學長、96級林志儒學長暢談博雅、數位、跨域之主題
THU President Dr. Kuo-En Chang, along with senior alumni Geng-Xi Lee from the Class of '95 and Chih-Ju Lin from the Class of '96, engaged in a discussion on the themes of liberal education, digital learning, and interdisciplinary studies.
由100位alpha學長姊與我愛東海樂團共同演唱主題曲歡迎學弟妹
100 senior alpha members and the "I Love Tunghai Orchestra" performed the theme song to welcome the new students.
(4) 大學入門之新生訓練─博雅大講堂 (University Orientation - The Po-Ya Lectures)

- 邀請本校各系所38位教師及2位校友參與，透過永續、海外學習、設計思考等多元議題講授
Inviting 38 faculty members from various departments and 2 alumni to cover diverse topics, such as sustainability, overseas learning, design thinking, etc.
- 啟發學生跨域自主學習的動能，增進自我能力，實踐與展開其豐富的大學生涯
Inspiring students in cross-disciplinary self-directed learning, enhancing their abilities, and realizing a fulfilling university experience.
- 今年安排2場雙語講座，特別邀請國際長及勞教長與新生分享
This year, 2 bilingual lectures are scheduled, with special guest speakers, the Chief International Officer and the Chief of the Office of Experiential Learning, sharing their insights with the new students.
- 落實國際交流深入東海校園
Promoting international exchange within the Tunghai campus.
- 邀請學務處同仁擔任主持人及招募志工協助活動順利進行
Office of Student Affairs staff serve as emcees and volunteers to facilitate smooth event operations.
- 強化學生事務的開展，共同培育學生未來所需具備之能力
Reinforcing student affairs development and collectively nurturing the skills required for students' futures.
(5) 大學入門之新生訓練─學習資源工作坊 (University Orientation - Learning Resources Workshops)
為讓新生認識及運用東海大學所預備的豐富學習助益；敬邀本校各行政及計劃單位以多樣化工作坊形式，介紹與學習息息相關的資源及服務；期待為東海學子拓展多元探索及學習視野與面對未來環境的挑戰！
In order to familiarize freshmen with and make use of the abundant learning resources prepared by Tunghai University, various administrative and program units are invited to present workshops, introducing resources and services closely related to learning. This aims to expand the horizons of exploration and learning, as well as prepare students to face future challenges.
